• To insure your first visit with us is a pleasant one, here are the procedures you can expect during a 40 minutes stay with us:

    Paperwork
Complete the health questionnaire before you come to the office. The paperwork can be found online or emailed to you. Dr. Gilas will use this information to help formulate your care program.

    Consultation
You'll meet Dr. Gilas, who will review your health history and determine if yours is a chiropractic case. You will be advised of the cost of any office procedures and given a copy of our written financial policies at your request.

    Examination
Standard physical, orthopaedic, neurological and chiropractic tests will be performed to determine the cause(s) of your problem.

    X-rays
If x-rays are deemed necessary to complete you health status, than you will be referred to a nearby facility.

    Correlation
Before proper care can be rendered, Dr. Gilas will study your examination findings, x-ray findings and specific care recommendations will be reviewed.

    Adjunctive procedures
Dr. Gilas may make some recommendations such as the application of ice, heat, or the use of some other procedure to help reduce inflammation and make you more comfortable.

    Future visits
Your first visit is complete. Plan to spend 40 minutes on your next visit to receive Dr. Gilas' report. Your first chiropractic adjustment may be received after your report or on a subsequent appointment depending on the doctors' recommendations. Then, typical visits will usually last between 5-15 minutes.

    Report of findings
You will receive a complete report of the examination findings.

    Care plan
Dr. Gilas will outline a care plan designed for your unique spinal problem and health complaint.

    Expectations
Based on her clinical experience, Dr. Gilas will explain your prospects for recovery and what you can do to help speed the healing process.

    Financial issues
So we can direct all of our attention to your recovery, the financial responsibility for your case will be discussed.

    Questions
Make sure you fully understand the nature and severity of your condition and what our office will be doing to help you. Ask questions.

Adjustments Dr. Gilas will use carefully directed and controlled gentle pressure to realign the spine, remove nerve tension and restore your spine to a more normal motion and position. These procedures are called adjustments. Dr. Gilas may also recommend other modalities to help improve your condition such as Nutritional Cleansing, Custom Foot Orthotics, exercise prescription and lifestyle modifications.
